Hello!
I've been meaning to write for a long time, and I figure it's been long enough. So this is the beginning...or somewhere in the middle...of my life's musings.
In less than a month I will be heading south to Mesa, AZ to serve as an intern pastor at Our Savior's Lutheran Church. The staff has welcomed me, the congregations (all three of them!) have greeted me, and the apartment has been picked out. ETA is sometime the week of August 25th, with my mom, Ellen, along for the cross-country venture. My first Sunday in AZ is officially the 31st. You are welcome to come visit anytime thereafter!
In the meantime I am finishing up my last 100 hours of CPE (Clinical Pastoral Education) at United Hospital in St. Paul. The finish line officially is August 14th, and I have no doubt that I will make my hours in time. These past weeks have proved to be adventurous and draining, to say the least...My stories are too intense (and confidential!) to share here, but I would love to share part of my experience with you some time. My group has been great, as have been my supervisors and my supporting family. Even during this difficult time, I am blessed to be surrounded by wonderful people.
The rest of the summer will be spent packing up my favorite things and saying goodbye to my favorite people and (Woofie, Rosie, and Lucy) in Osceola and Duluth and the others who are fleeing Luther Sem to do their internships in Florida, California, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and beyond.
I'll continue to write, so stay tuned for updates on the packing status and pictures of the last weeks of fun in Minnesota.
