Living in a Hair Dryer

Erin dropped me off at the airport just after 5 this morning. It was hard to leave Minnesota and Wisconsin behind. I was just getting back into a normal routine and enjoying quality time with family and friends, not to mention the beautiful summer weather!

Duties in Arizona called me back, as well as a need to wrap things up for my internship year and begin the ever-looming goodbyes.

And now that I'm back, I am glad to be here for this short time. It has almost been a bit of a break to have my own space and own schedule. For that I am grateful.

What I'm not so happy about? The 115 degree weather! It's like living in a hair dryer! Every time I step outside, it takes my breath away. It doesn't doesn't even "cool off" at night--meaning get below 100.

I can't believe people live here!

(Yes, I understand the reasoning vs. cold winters, but still!)

Wow.

Stay cool--
HGJ
