They're baaaaaaaaaack!

Today I woke up to cloudy skies for the first time in over three months. And it isn't that they were just cloudy this morning, but they have been all day long.

It's a little depressing because I'm not exactly sure how to live here without the sun. I certainly wouldn't want to. But today, for the most part, it has been the most wonderful treat.

And then, I went to Target to grab some band-aids, straws, and popsicles (weird shopping list, I know), and I was shocked.

The "winter visitors" (they don't like the term "snow birds") are back. Well, some of them, at least. I couldn't find a parking place, there were people everywhere inside and out, and in the style of most residents of Mesa, they were going very, very slowly. I never want to go shopping here again. And this isn't even the height of the season!

It's kind of fun to watch cars and see where people are from. And of course, it helps to know which cars and lines of traffic to avoid.

Now if I could only temporarily swap my WI license plate for an AZ one, people wouldn't flag me as a snow bird!

My goodness. Life...and Arizona...are full of surprises.

Well, I'm headed back to church. Tuesdays are my day at the Epiphany campus in Apache Junction.

Peace--
HGJ
