Ready or not, here I come!

Happy Easter!

Yesterday was a bit different than any other Easter. Only one word can be used to describe it: chaotic.

Being at church at 5 AM is kind of ridiculous. But after the Sunrise Service I got to go back to bed for a little while, which was a treat. On my way to Easter lunch, my car started to have some major problems with accelerating, which I found out means my transmission is failing. Stupid Ford Focus Wagon. I know nothing about cars, and I learned that I freak out pretty badly when I'm on the road and my car doesn't work. But now its in the shop and getting some extra TLC, so when I get back from my trip it will be ready.

But to make everything better, I got the most wonderful wake-up call this morning announcing that two of my most favorite people in the world are engaged. Talk about exciting!

So, my bags are packed. My friendly "shuttle" arrives by 5 am, flight leaves at 6:50, airport pick-up by Popparoni and Momma Cakes, then lunch on Grand with my good (and newly engaged!) friend.

Sounds like it will be the best Tuesday I'll have had for a long time.
