Pampered with Love

I can't believe it has been almost a week since my last posting. These days are so busy, it makes me tired just thinking about them.

My Prophets class is bogging me down. I have realized I don't function well with online learning. And I don't understand why it costs the same per credit for such limited interaction with the professor and group members. Oh well. Week four is almost done.

Midweek Lenten services have been going really well, but, gosh, they are a lot of work. I spend a lot of my time at the beginning of the week preparing for them, then helping lead the four of them on Wednesday, and then Thursdays are recovering from them and planning for next week. But two weeks down, four Wednesdays to go, which means 16 more services of Holden Evening Prayer and drama. I can handle that.

And Matt and Bri have been a good breath of fresh air in the midst of all of it. I am certainly grateful for them.

On top of all of this, what has been so wonderful these past few days is that my Aunt Karen and Uncle Ed are in town for a visit (part-work, mostly play). I don't usually get to see them more than a few times each year, so it has been extra special to be with them. They have been so generous and kind...pampering me with love! I am grateful for their inclusion of me in their vacation plans and in their delightful meals too :) So between now and Tuesday when they leave, we will try and get together a few more times for some continued family fun. How great.

Today we went to the Desert Botanical Gardens to see the desert landscape and the Chihuly exhibit in the daylight. I will post pictures later this weekend when I am more awake.

Tomorrow I am helping with the valley's WELCA Spring Conference. I'm still not sure how I feel about WELCA. I don't think I fit in well there. I guess tomorrow will give me an opportunity to sort some things out. I'm not the biggest fan of conferences, let alone on a Saturday. Maybe I'll spend my time praying and drafting next week's to-do list.

That's all for now. I have to get to bed.

Peace--
HGJ
