Happy Mother's Day! It was wonderful to spend the whole day with my mom. Not many people have that opportunity, so I am thankful. It has been the first time in many, many years that we were together morning through the evening.
Things have been rather busy even though things have slowed down. Here are some of the best parts:
* Tennis championship round with Doy, Bri, & Matt. We're getting better--even in the 100 degree weather.
* D-backs baseball game with 65 people from Our Saviors. What a crew!
* REI Anniversary Sale. Their Tempe store is only 20 minutes from home. Need I say more? I have a big wish list of things for if/when I actually have a steady income.
* Family updates from home. I am really, really looking forward to being closer to family and friends in less than 3 months.
*Supper at Wildflower Bakery--my favorite eatery in AZ.
* Worship at Our Saviors with Myron.
*Being "released" from one service this morning so I could attend a different church with more of a "non-traditional" way of worshiping. It was awesome. I miss that. Plus they had three baptisms, 2 of which were adult baptism. It was great.
*Realizing that in just over a month I am going to Romania for 10 days. I can't wait...even if I did sign a form releasing the host organization of providing any ransom if I am taken as a hostage. That's a little scary though. Plus, it's Transylvania. Uh oh. (Erin--maybe Edward is there!)
I am looking forward to the week, even though my to-do list is full. There are worse things in life though, so I can't complain. As my elder friends at church remind me, "at least I'm above the ground."
Here's to a good and productive week!
Take care--
