This evening back at Luther M. Div Seniors received their "envelopes." Much anticipation revolves around this special day in February each year. This might not seem like much, but these numbers ranging from 1-9 are the determining factor in what region first call will be for the graduating students/soon to be pastors.
It seems like a long way away, but my stomach started to ache when I realized that next year at this time, my envelope will be there, along with my closest friends' and peers'. I am sure feelings of nervousness, anxiety, excitement, and, hopefully, joy will accompany our special night next year.
All I can think is "God help us." But those worries are for a later date. Right now I just have to get through the weekend and the kick-off of the Lenten series.
But for those whose envelopes came today, special prayers will be said for you tonight.

I still can't remember which number is for which region. I think I might be in region 1 or 9 right now.
