Dracula Schnitzel!

We are here! We finally made it to our final destitation in Romania (at least through Sunday): Turneveni.

Yesterday/Today was the longest day ever! The flights were long, the seats unbelievably uncomfortable, the drive through the mountains bumpy, but we made it just fine. We have hardly been able to keep our eyes open after two sleepless nights, but we are all so excited to be in this special place.

We stopped in a lovely town in the mountains for lunch. I took pictures but am too tired to upload them today. Guess what I had? Dracula Schnitzel! We're in Transylvania land! Actually it was chicken with fruit and feta cheese baked together. Delicious.

We have all been struck by Romania's green beauty. Actually as we were landing, I said that it looked like Wisconsin. In many ways it does...minus the majestic mountains, of course. I feel right at home in that way. Still, the buildings are classic old European, many with these bright red roofs. So great in comparison to the desert colors of Arizona.

We just took a walk around the city and have gathered back at the hotel to
shower, eat, and gear up for the days ahead. My feet are finally starting to return to normalcy after being swollen like sausages, and slowly we are adapting to the time changes.

Hope you are all well!

Peace--
HGJ
