Yesterday we celebrated Noah's Ordination. He is officially a pastor of the ELCA!
It was a wonderful day spent with family and friends--old and new. It was a great reunion with our former pastors Tom Nyman and Tom Hansen and their families, and Pastor Hardy and his wife, along with Sondra (s
he sang Amazing Grace acapella), Michael and Michael, and friends from Salem Lutheran in North Minneapolis. Pastors Jane Ann and Paul Settergren, Pastor Ann Rabe, Pastor Suzanne Smith, Pastor Mark from St. John's in Minneapolis, Pastor Richard Bowman, Pastor/Professor Mark Granquist, Pastor Chuck Anderson and wife Shirley, supporters since Gustavus days, Bishop Tom Aitken and friends like Kira and Nina, the Mason, Pershke, Guenthner, Foss, Knefelkamp, Kavanagh, Lawrenz, and Pardon families. Cindy Lyon did the catering with help from Dad, Grandma, Bernie, and Uncle Ronnie. Peg Arnason did the dinning room decorating. Scott Holloway presented Noah with stoles from CLC and Bob Waedekin played the organ and Charlene Gulbrandson sang. Wally & Irene even came from Chisago!

What an ensemble! Maybe in two years, we'll have another gathering of the same sort :)
We are all still pretty tired, but Mom and I went walking/jogging with Woofie this morning, and we are just going to enjoy relaxing today before my flight to AZ tonight.
And the good news of the day so far is that I purchased my ticket home for December, and Mom and Dad have their tickets to join me in Mesa the month of January.
Hope you are all doing well--
Peace--
HGJ
