The chaos of the holidays is here--although this 70 degree weather, Chacos everyday, and sunshine have me believe it's still September. I think I would have to be here for a full year in order for this season without snow to make sense.
But...the stores are packed, the post office is just plain ridiculous with the crowds (I opted to go to a Box and Mail today--but the price was outrageous!), the cactus are lit, and my calendar is telling me otherwise. It really is almost Christmas.
Next week, and actually the time up until I go home, is crazy busy (Two week from tomorrow!). I know I'm not the only one with the intense schedule, I feel like I need a secretary just to keep track of all the engagements.
So, in preparation and in hope of preventing a "crash," I took some time yesterday and today to recuperate and rejuvenate. It was fantastic! Indeed, it was "beautifully quiet" and fun.
My favorite thing? Today I went to Mark & Karen's (my supvervisor's home) to learn how to make Krumkake. It was a blast! Now, I'm saving up for my own iron :)
So the good news of the week: I feel ready, Christmas. Bring it on!
Hope you are all well! I miss you.
Peace--

I'm glad you're anticipating what is to come by relaxing while you can - you're so wise, Hannah. Enjoy!
Yeah, it just isn't winter without a change in the weather. That is why I am happy about the cold rainy days that we've had.
