These are the only words I can express about today....I have been graced by love.Things might not always be the best, but small surprises and acts of grace always seem to find me. They are, as one of my favorite professors Rollie Martin says, my "well-springs."
Cases in point:
-the arrival of Christmas cards in the mail from friends and family far away.
-an amazingly wonderful package from Nina today. She is nothing short of spectacular.
-being saved today from my unlucky Tuesdays by my friends and coworkers at Our Saviors.
-fun emails from friends across the country about the adventures they have encountered.
-talking to my brother Micah this afternoon who just returned from Vienna and Slovakia (his first time abroad). He has promised to travel with me now!
-dinner and games at my home away from home in Gold Canyon. The Hackneys are always so kind and generous--they even let me win tonight :)
-having many wonderful and fantastic weeks with my good friend, Erin, who is now returning to Minnesota in the morning. I could not have asked for a better present than to have her around. She was a lifesaver.
Thank you to those of you who give so much. You are heroes.
I hope that in some small way I can also be same for you.
