So, for some reason, over the past few weeks, I keep getting the song "For the Beauty of the Earth" stuck in my head. The hymn has a memorable tune, but I can never remember the words. After a quick Google search, I realized there are LOTS of words in the song...there are six verses!
The first verse is this:
For the beauty of the earth,
for the glory of the skies,
for the love which from our birth
over and around us lies;
Lord of all, to thee we raise
this our hymn of grateful praise.
for the glory of the skies,
for the love which from our birth
over and around us lies;
Lord of all, to thee we raise
this our hymn of grateful praise.
Good lyrics, for sure. And they are fitting for these photos I received from home today.

I sure wish I was back in Wisconsin today! Not to say it isn't nice here, but I miss Autumn and spending time with family on Saturdays like this.
And the exciting news of the week from the Johnson front: Walter Mondale is going to be at the ArtBarn tomorrow. My parents are so excited. I am too!
Now it's off to make lunch, although cooking isn't as much fun when you are only feeding one person. Thank goodness for leftovers :)
Peace--

oh i forget you won't get "fall" there like you would in the midwest or out where i am too. the leaves are beautiful and the air is crisp.
let me know if you want the recipe for tofu lasagna! leftovers indeed.
love you, HGJ!
p.s - my sister ran into Walter Mondale in the grocery store shortly after the Wellstone death and then the sorry state of affairs that transpired after that. She got a little teary as she thanked him for all of his work.
