So, I missed it...

I missed the first snow fall at home today. Of course, none of it accumulated, and it is expected to be back up in the 60s this week, but I have to say...

I kind of missed it.

Shocker...I know.

Undoubtedly, I am enjoying the sunny weather every day, but I always love the thrill of seeing the snow for the first time each fall.

It means my favorite scarves, mittens, and hats can officially come out. It means there's finally a chance for "snow days." It means the season for warm fires, hot cocoa, sledding, and snowman building is here. I also know it's the season of ice, falling, slippery roads, and shoveling, and I won't miss that, but I do know there's good to snow too!

I have many fond memories that included snow. Check out one of my favorite pictures (courtesy of ASM) with my some of my best seminary friends: Amber, Brian, and Scott.

Oh, winter. I guess I'll catch up with you after Christmas.

For now---

That was a great snow day. I don't think I will be building any snow towers out here in the OC this winter.

Those were the days my friend! I was sad to hear about the snow as well. We can make up for it at Christmas!
