Polar Bear Swim

The meteorologists say the temperatures are almost 20 degrees lower than normal. However, they have been confidently assuring desert residents that by the end of the week it will be up in the 90s again.

I have decided that Arizona can't make a wuss out of me, so I decided to go swimming this morning.

So just after 7 am, I put on my normal swim garb--my swimsuit, shorts, tank top, and sandals and headed to the pool. On my way there, I watched kids go off to school and adults headed for work dressed in long pants, either sweatshirts or jackets, and closed-toed shoes. I even saw someone wearing a hat.

Here's what I found when I got to the pool area:

Still, I found the air to be refreshing, so I took a chance...and I had a blast!

It was a bit cold getting out of the pool and running back home, but it made my day. And it's not even 8:30 yet.

Take that, Arizona!

With joy--
