As I sit in 90 degree weather, it doesn't feel like Halloween. I just talked to Kira in MN though, and she said it is in the 60s at home. I guess that doesn't feel like Halloween very much either.
Some of my favorite costumes growing up?
A dinosaur (we won a contest), a Twins Homer Hankey (91 World Series and year of the blizzard), Pippi Longstocking, a lion!

Oh the fun!
I loved Halloween because it meant we would go visit some of our shut-in neighbors and family friends, pie at Grandma and Bernie's, Garfield's birthday celebration (he's 103 this year), and king-size candy bars at Unca's.Last Halloween was spent with friends in South Minneapolis. Kira was a crayon, and I was a penguin.

This year, celebrating will be a bit different, but good, I'm sure. I'm not convinced there will be any trick-or-treaters, but we'll see. If nothing else, I'll work on my "All Saints" sermon.
Peace--
