Water and the Word

Today has been another crazy day. Sermon writing and practicing, Confirmation planning and PowerPoint-ing...and preparing and performing my first official baptism at the 4:00 Saturday service.

It was awesome. I was sweating like a pig--praying that I wouldn't drop the three week old baby girl or mess up when quoting scripture--but it was awesome. So much better than practicing on a baby doll in Worship class or even on our pets when we were little. (Wow--did anyone else do that?!)

I'm excited to say the first official one is done, and I'm looking forward to hopefully many more.

Tomorrow's lesson for Confirmation? Baptism.

Why not make it a theme weekend?!

Anyway, I hope I remember today for a long time.

Peace--
HGJ

Joy and Aase think you're awesome and would sprinkle you with water if we were close. Or dip you in water. Nina baptized herself in the bathtub, for practice. Laura is scared of water.

We are being silly because we are both in new york. right now.

We are happy for you, HGJ!
