Snow, Wind, and Rain

This morning we awoke to the loudest wind gusts we have ever heard. It is stormy up north! Along with dark clouds, the wind and cooler temps brought rain and several squalls of snow in Sedona. We had to bundle up to stay warm, though we enjoyed it immensely!

This afternoon, after a delightful lunch at Picazzo's Pizza, we checked out Chapel of the Holy Cross. It's just outside of town a few miles. It is absolutely spectacular. If you are ever in the area, make sure you stop to visit.

It made me wish I were a Catholic priest so that I could get a call there. Oddly enough, Christ Lutheran is right down the road from there. Maybe I'll come back to Arizona after all :)

All in all, we had a wonderful day. Mom and dad are staying in Sedona for the rest of the week, with a planned trip to the Grand Canyon. I came back to Mesa tonight to get ready for work the rest of the week--though I hope to get back up here again sometime soon.

That's all for now. Hope your week is off to a good start!

All the best--
HGJ

What great family time you have had, Hannah, and enjoying the part of the world you call home for a year. AZ can really bring the beauty in a variety of ways. I'm glad you got some of the "layer" temps you like so well. Will you see your folks before they fly back to WI?
